Description

BSB Eastner Picnic

Friday 27th March, 14.00pm – 15.30pm

Dear Parents

On the Friday 27th March we will be having our Easter picnic where families are invited to share a spring picnic with their children and other families. Our picnic on the school field, will begin at 2pm and aim to end by 3.30pm. Teddies and Nursery children will be having their picnic in their playground next to their classrooms to make it easier for them to get in and out. Families will have the opportunity to join their children and relax in the grounds on a blanket with their own picnic, camping chairs etc. Younger siblings are also warmly invited, along with any house guests you may currently have staying with you. It is always a very pleasant gathering and we hope you can come along.

All children will be taken, with their class, to the field and will have a picnic with their classmates if you are unable to attend. If you do want to have your own picnic with your child please alert the class teacher that you will be doing so and will be taking them home with you. You will all receive communication from the class teachers about what snacks or drinks to send in nearer the time. If you wish to join your child’s class picnic instead of having your own, the teachers would be more than happy to welcome you.

On the day, families wishing to have a picnic should have:

  • An adult at school at 2pm to collect their participating children from the school field;
  • A picnic lunch with drinks (you may bring wine or beer if you wish to) for all their family;
  • A picnic blanket and/or picnic/camping chairs;
  • Transportation home at 3.30pm when the picnic ends.

Please note that all pupils attending the picnic with their parents are the responsibility of their parents after they have been collected. Parents who are attending the picnic and will be making their own transport arrangements need to inform the class teacher and the bus coordinator to ensure they are taken off the bus list for the afternoon.

This is a wonderful opportunity for established and new BSB families to meet and have a sunny afternoon together. We do hope that you and your family will be able to join us.

Best wishes
